Online Tax Return Preparation

BBM personnel provided technical consulting, as part of a quality review for an enterprise web application that allows up to 50,000 concurrent users to prepare federal tax returns online.  As part of that review, BBM personnel interviewed members of software and database development teams to evaluate practices and procedures with regard to industry standards.  The primary focus was on SQL Server database design, ASP web page coding standards, and scalability testing.  Additionally, personnel evaluated the website and database designs and made recommendations for improving both the development process and the application’s technical architecture.

Demographic Information Management System

BBM personnel were members of a Data Management team, taking part in the management of a system for managing demographic information.  Their primary responsibilities included the project management and implementation of enhancements to an SAS-based application that provides data on shopping habits.  They were also responsible for the analysis, design, and complete conversion to an object-oriented database system, taking advantage of the latest advancements in statistical analysis and database management.
